Ok, another boring career/job question?

Hello, im having a dilemma, i want to quit my job as i feel it stresses me out too much and its the wrong sort of work for my body as its quite physical and causes me injuries. Moan moan whinge.

Anyway im wondering is it worth pursuing those dreams we have or just stay where the money is because its reliable. Should i just be a mere mortal like everyone else or take a chance? its my only chance. I feel like now is the time to jump into a new career but still i dont make that call to my boss.

whadaya reckon?

I once had the same dilemma as you, and i did pursue my dream. However, that doesn't mean it will suit you. There are things you are going to have to consider.

Have you thought out your idea thoroughly? If you haven't you need to make sure it is going to work, and if it is right for you.

Not only this, but are you right for the dream? For example if you want to set up your business, the business might be great, but if you have no experience, then it may end in disaster.

Can you still work a few hours, with you new ambition, as if you can, you can still keep a steady income coming in while you chase your dream?

Does your family support what you are doing? This is vital, as if your family don't think it is a good idea, it will be far harder to pursue your dream.

So, all in all, if you have answered all these questions and more and have thought about everything, and you still think you have a chance, then i say, go for it. I did, and i'm loving it. But remember, don't jump into anything, make sure you have thought everything through,

Definately take a chance. Right now it would be harder, but at the end it would all be worth it. You will be happier too!

Good luck :)

Make the call to the boss: " I quiting in 2 weeks."

Go for the new career at a new employer.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

He who hesitates is lost.

Don't gamble if you cant afford to lose.

Never leave you job until you get another, and make sure it sounds exactly what you want. Security always must come first.
