Need job, but dont have a car, im 16 please help!!?

I am a 16 year old male who comes from a lower class family economiclly, and i do not have a car or my liscense. i have my permit, and can get my liscense around my 17th birhtday. i really need money for college, cell phone bill, and other things a 16 year old spends money on. the problem is i dont have a car to take me to a job and my parents cant afford a car. i also dont have a ride to work because my parents are always at work! What should i do?? i live in a suburban area and there are alot of businesses around, but some dont higher minors and to be honest, i am a little afraid and embarresed to apply for a job..how can i get over this?? please help!

Well, apply to places that interest you. Try McDonald's, they are always hiring young students. If there is a library, apply at the library, it's a great place to study in your slow time! Maybe try to apply to places within easy walking distance from your home, and when you have enough money, invest in a bike so you can apply more and spread a little further, exploring your options.
