My friend needs help finding a job!?

I know someone who is 15 turning 16 at the end of the year. He has tried a few times to get a summer job. He has applied to 10 or so places and no one has called back. All of his other friends have jobs at 15, and he thinks that hes coming in too late.
He wants to know if 16 is too late to find a job while in high school. What ages to good student jobs usually hire at?

There are a lot of potential issues for teenagers in work, many of them law-related, parents have to be careful about that. There is a lot of help from the website in the box below on this issue, they also have help for all people who are searching for work, or who have to change careers. |

Economy not doing good. Things are tough. It is not easy to find a job now days. I am unemployed too, I've been laid off since January 2009. Is he persistent? He should be, that way they can take him. |
