I just went for my 1st McD's interview, there were 2 others she interviewed before me, looked like they were in high school, their interviews went on for about 30hr each, when it came to my turn, I was dressed nicely, the interviewer made funny comments here and there, chit chat with me about the beautiful weather, it felt very comfortable. I was prepared, I brought my resume with 4 references attached in the back, I'm a university student, taking 2 courses a week, and live close to that McDs location - 2 min drive, & have 7 years of experience, in the banking, retail - assist manager, fast food, call centre & volunteer work as admin assist. She asked me about my availability I told her right now I'm flexible, but after May 3 I'm unavailable for two days only - it's a 24hr McDs - she seemed really impressed with my resume, asked me two questions in the interview about my experience - one was: If in a group of 4 and 2 leave towards the due date of the project, how would you handle the situation? and second was: If angry customer comes to you how would you handle the situation? Both questions I answered amazingly... towards the end she told me about the orientation, and uniform and SIN # asked me about the position I'd like to work, my interview went for 10 to 15 mins, and she asked me to come in for a second interview with another manager on monday - she said "I duno if she will have the orientation papers, but she is the one that will be making the initial hiring decision, just bring in your SIN" she also told me when they get paid and its direct deposit... Soooo, my prob is, I have another job that I just got a wk ago - and i was planning to quit it once I got this job at McDs today (if I got it), & the other job is in another city, and I'm canceling my car insurance soon, and im not much of a bus commuter, McDs is 2 mins away from my house, does second interview at McDs usually mean you have the job? Because she seemed really happy with me, but now I'm confused... for McDs theres a damn second interview? I dont want to lead the other job on.... I wanted to quit as soon as I got this mcd's one.. I havent had any shifts there yet, and it would be better because then I'm not wasting their time you know? so I dont know if I should go with my gut feeling and quit the other job today regardless of that second interview or if I should go for my first shift there n quit once I find out whats going on monday? so confused with this second interview nonsense....
