I currently have a job at Kroger but I absolutely hate it, I have worked there almost 3 years now and want something new I know finding a job in MI is like finding a needle in a haystack but i want to find something. I was told by my grandfather that I should try GM because of all the people getting laid off but i am sure everyone is thinking of that. I have a Highschool Diploma and i am a part time college student. I was hoping to get a job at a nursing home because it would look better on my resume and i hear they pay pretty decent. Anyways anyone have any suggestions?

Most people I know who have jobs are tired of their job. They work long hours to make up for all the cutbacks and lack of hiring and they're tired of it. You could try GM but those jobs are going back to the people that were laid off from what I understand. Although, that could be for just the factory workers. I would suggest keeping your job. Starting a new one could end up getting you laid off in a tight job market. You don't want to be the new kid on the block if the economy starts tanking again and you just started a new job. If you're willing to risk this, then keep your current job as you look for a new job.
