Sure, contact her. What do you have to lose?

Just because you were fired from one job doesn't mean you won't do well in another. Different employers have different ways of doing things and different expectations, even if they do the same type of work.

It is important, though, that you pay attention to why they fired you, even if you think it's BS. How and why did they say you weren't up to par? Might you have the same problem in another job? If not, why not?

If you keep doing the same things wrong, it will hamper your working life. If you can either correct your mistakes or stay away from work that isn't a good fit for you, you'll do well with work.
