Job orientation at Dairy Queen?

I went into dairy queen today and put in an application, the lady looked over it and we talked for a second not really Job talk and then she said were having orientation Saturday at 2 o'clock bring your S.S card, drivers license, and a parent, does this mean I got the job?

And im wondering what to expect, and if there is anything i can work on before this orientation.

It doesn't mean that you have the job yet - they are doing a group orientation, in which your behaviour and attitude will be taken note of. See, there's going to be one person giving the orientation talk, and there will be another person who doesn't say too much looking at and evaluating the applicants. The second person is looking at clothing, attitude, gum-chewing, propensity to chat with the person next to them while the orientator is talking, things like that.

If you wish to be hired, dress nice (no jeans or sneakers/tennis shoes), be attentive and don't talk to your fellow applicants during the orientation, don't be chewing gum and/or blowing bubbles. Asking or making a smart-a.s.s. question or comment to the main orientation person - well, you might as well leave the meeting right then and there, because you're already done for if you do that.
