Job interview at an office... How do i dress?

I'm being put in a CO-OP program where you work for the government in an office and i get to earn 10 high school credits along with being paid. My vice principal wants me to show up at school tomorrow dressed up as if i were going to a job interview. I've never really been to a job interview before because my only job has been working for my father in construction as a painter. Can you guys help me out on what to wear for tomorrow? Thanks in advance and best answer gets 5 stars.

A blue or black traditional suit, white or blue shirt, conservative tie, nice clean dress shoes.

Hair needs to be done, no cologne/body spray, and you should be clean shaven.

If you don't have a suit, then slacks, tie, sportcoat with what I said above.

It is far better to be overdressed for a job interview than it is to be underdressed.

Wear a relatively conservative suit with a nice tie. (no fluorescent red or loud plaid!, just kidding) Don't overdress, lean towards the plain rather than fancy. You are not applying for an executive position, but you do want to present yourself in the best light to the interviewer. If you get the job, and once you know what you will be doing you can dress accordingly. For everyday work you may not need to wear a suit & tie.

Many people get stuck when they are attempting to decide what to wear at an interview. Myself I'm from the old school, I am of the opinion that formal wear is never wrong; you can get some instruction from the website in the box below, they also have a lot of advice on job seeking.
