Job for 16 year old over the summer that can coexist with drivers ed. class on long island?

So, i just turned 16, got my learners permit and really want to sign up to drivers ed class over the summer so i can get my senior license at 17. I would just take drivers ed during fall, winter or spring, but im on all varsity sports teams every season and to my coaches, missing practice once a week is unacceptable. I also am trying to save up around 6,000 dollars for a car. I have 2,500 now thanks to lawn mowing, and birthdays but am looking for a real job. this is my problem. I want to apply for a job working for the town of islip, the beaches or some store/restaurant, like: best buy, toys r us, best yet, checkers, etc. but am worried that if i commit to drivers ed over the summer from 7 to 10 in the morning twice a week, then employers will not want to hire me since im being picky about my hours. i really dont know what to do. i havent signed up for drivers ed yet and am not sure if i should. Does anyone know of a job that doesnt start till after 10:30 or lets me have a flexible schedule?

and if you dont what do you suggest i do? should i take drivers ed or apply for a job. thanks. (and please dont tell me any jobs like lawnmowing, caddying, or online jobs, like survey taker because im looking for a reliable job with steady hours and promised pay.)

I have earned money in the past by selling junk on ebay. First it was my own junk and later it was other people's junk. But ebay has become awful recently, they take all your money.

Affiliate marketing is the main way to make money online, it takes a bit of learning but if you are shrewd you don't need to pay anyone to learn, there are some vids at:

just remember to never pay for anything till you know what you are doing!

Hey Sean,

Have you considered just taking drivers ed online? It seems like a perfect option for you since you live such a busy life.. But if your set on taking the classroom drivers ed, When you fill out job applications it asks when are you available, just fill it out. Or let them know your situation.

So i did drivers ed online, it was pretty easy. I looked it up for New York and they have an online course for your state also. If your more into a classroom setting you can probably just take the course you were talkinga bout

Anyways, i took drivers ed at : www.driversedtogo.com

For you, since you live in New York it would be http://driveredtogo.com/New-York-State/O¦

It took me awhile to find the cheapest one, but i finally did it. At first i was wondering if they were legit or not, but my friend completed it and he got his certificates in the mail so i did it.

The course is pretty easy. I think its 16 different chapters with lots of pictures and videos. And at the end there is a final exam that you must get 32/36 correct to pass. You can take as long as you want and take it as many times as you want until you pass.

It took me about 3-4 hours to complete the course. I completed in like 3 days because i had to do it during rugby season and i was really busy, if i wanted i could have finished it in a day or so. Its mostly common sense. Its legit and really easy to complete.

It costs $20 with this code: X2K-9FB-34E

You enter it at checkout

I did so much research to get my permit =_=, at least it sort of paid off :D I got my license 2 months ago =)

Well if you need anymore help, feel free to contact me. I know basically the whole process now o.o haha

Good Luck!
