Just because you're very qualified for a job doesn't mean you will automatically get an interview. You already got your rejection email, so just suck it up and move on.

Your friend should put in a reccomendation for you. Remember though, there are a lot of people looking for jobs right now and they may have found people more qualified.

Are you an ethnic minority or a woman,disabled,old? If so you may have been illegally discriminated against, send in your CV again exactly the same but with "Mr Peter Smith" age 30 as the name. If they ask your for an interview this time, you can take them to court for damages.

I would just to get an explanation and let them know your qualification. If I was you I would be careful with friend in the work place don't let anyone know your applying. So called friends tend to get jealous and don't want you to be better than them.

Without seeing your resume I can Only give general advice. cheque spelling , give a cover letter , give a thank you letter after a response. look at the format of your resume and compare it to other professionally formatted resumes. have someone who is in a position of authority like a manager of a different company (someone you know as a friend or a family friend ) to look it over

Although you are probably super qualified, it isn't necessary to call them or reapply just because you think it's wrong you didn't get it. It's their loss, just find a better place that'll want you.
