Job Seekers Allowance - quit job cos of bullying?

I have a friend who quit her job last week cos she was fed up of being picked on/bullied by her boss. I know that you wouldn't normally be entitled to Job Seekers Allowance if you quit your job however do they consider giving you this if you felt bullied? She doesn't want to pursue a constructive dismissal claim so would they believe that she felt as if she had no choice? Thanks If she doesn't get JSA will she be entitled to anything at all? She has a mortgage to pay etc but no family living with her! Thanks

Its a pity she didn't raise a formal grievance first and then take it Tribunal if not resolved. I did the same and luckily I have received JSA - doesn't make up for loss of a job though and the hoops that you have to jump through. Because I could prove my contract was broken and was going to Tribunal I was lucky - if you can call it lucky being out of work! Think she should go to JobCentre and please her case but she's going to find it hard to prove a case and she could be sanctioned up to 6 months. Best of Luck
