Job Interview Tomorrow?

I have a job interview at Canadian Tire tomorrow, and I have a few friends who work there. I was just wondering if it's a good or bad idea to let the interviewer know tomorrow that I know people who work there? And if anyone had any general tips that would great, thanks.

It's never a bad idea to draw on your connections. In many cases it's not about what you know, but WHO you know. When you say you have friends, be prepared to give a specific list of who you mean and where they work. I would even have it all typed and ready to hand to the interviewer.

Make sure your friends know that you're going in for an interview. Furthermore, make sure these friends are actually interested in *helping* you. The hiring manager just might contact them for an added reference as they try to make a decision about you.

Make sure you sell the connection in the general light of how your friends seem content with their jobs, which makes you want to work there. Just wanting to work with your friends won't ingratiate you too much with the company, but making it sound like your friends have helped you to become enthusiastic about the company is a great sell.
