It is normal to have a pre-employment work?

Category: Other

HopeHope

I got a job offer on my second interview last monday-I am not qualified for the job as my education and work background are not related to the field. However, I am young and eager to learn that why they offered me the position.

We went over my duties shortly. I wrote an acceptance job offer letter and ask my supervisor if he wants me do learn anything before employment.

He asked me to join the pre-employment observation next week and also sent me 2 files on our current project about 100 pages.

I read the files and responsed to his e-mail a moment ago. Then, he sent me more files to read. He said he is looking forward to brief me on the project and arrangement with organization on Monday during our pre-employment session.

This is a federal government job. I thought it is going to be easy-breezy job, I guess not...lol :)

No idea about the pre-employment thing, but would you mind sharing what agency you're working for and what you did to get the job?
