Is this considered annoying my job recruiter?

I am looking for a job in a laboratory (been searching for 5 months). Finally my recruiter called me on Tuesday saying that they came across a job for me. they sent over my resume, and the company seemed very interested and set up a (very informal) phone interview that same day!. The Company did not ask me any real interview questions, they just seemed desperate for workers because they are working on a huge project. The Company said that they only had to interview one more person, and that I should hear back from them by Wednesday at the end of the day...
I heard nothing.
It is now Friday and I still haven't heard a yes or no from the company or my recruiter. Is it considered annoying my recruiter if I call him today asking if he's heard anything from the company? I was supposed to hear something back Wednesday....

No way - call the recruiter and politely ask for him/her to follow up on your behalf. In this economy why would you wait. If you were referred the job by the recruiter I would not call the company/lab directly. |
