I have heard lots of people say that it does not matter what job you have, as long as you work really hard in it you can make more than 100k pounds per year it is true or is it just people saying rubbish when they go in to yoda mode.

suppose i become a mechanical or chemical engineer with a 2:1 degree. can i make more than 100k pounds per year if i do really hard work and lots of work.

Slightly different this time since you're usually obsessed with being either a chartered accountant or an engineer.

Anyway, sorry to burst your bubble but your chances of earning 100k are pretty slim.

I'm a CA by the way and don't earn half that.

No matter how hard I flip those burger patties, how much enthusiasm I put into frying fries, or how gracefully I handle the cash register, I still won't make exponentially more money than the greasy-faced kid in high school who hates his job.
