Is it possible for me to become a lawyer or a famous producer in Hollywood?

I am a high school Sophomore and I either want to become a producer, actress a lawyer. I am going to start taking acting lessons next year as my elective . I have an uncle who is a producer and he is unemployed. But, then my neighbor is a lawyer and he is unemployed also.I told my parents I want to be a producer and they said "NO WAY!". I am taking acting classes next year for my electives and there are tons of opportunities for me to act if I am interested in it. I am going to college after high school, probably Notre Dame or U of Michigan and maybe majoring in Business and minoring in film . I am planning on going to law school after college. If I decide to go with the lawyer career, I want to be a Senator. Or I was considering becoming a producer and then governor (like Ronald Reagan was an actor and then he became President.) There are stars like Peter Facinelli and Ashley Greene who didn't start acting until college and Cameron Diaz who auditioned for a part and got it with no acting experience. I also took a career test and it said either a producer or lawyer! (That was no help at all!) What are my chances of becoming a producer in Hollywood? Can I have some advice? I have no idea what I want to do!

You're a sophomore. Trust me your career plans are going to change a million times by the time you get out of high school. But if you're totally dead set then I would say keep your doors open to both ideas. Take the acting class to see if you like it, if not, just explore all opportunities. That's what high school is for. Have fun with it and don't worry too much!

No one becomes a producer right out of college - look at your uncle - that kind of job does not provide steady employment

to be a lawyer, you need a 4 yr college degree with very high grades and then take law school entrance exam, pass, apply for an d get accepted into law school - survive 3 yrs there go into debt $100,000+, graduate, pass the bar exam and enter a field with already too many lawyers in it and hope you get a job that pays enough to live at home for 10 yrs while you pay off your school loans
