Is it normal not to care about money?
I currently in the military. I joined 2 years ago. I have a MBA in accounting. Since was little, about 8 years old, I had a dream to be a soldier, well due to family reasons I could not join the fighting branches ( Army and Marines ), also when I enlisted I was not a citizen so I could not go special forces in the branch I am in now. I attained my citizenship not too long ago and the first thing I did, apply for special forces.
Well, the community I am attempting to go in is all enlisted, and I keep on getting shhit for not attempting to go officer. My feelings are, I do not care, I am being given the opportunity to go fight for my country and do what I KNOW I was born for.
Is it far fetched from reality? I have a family but I am not worried about money. Is that normal? I was alwas told that if you do what you were born for or are happy with you will thrive either way.

Don't question why you don't care about money - just accept it and take pride in it. There are millions of Americans that care way too much about money and it drives their lives or they get into trouble with it. Take this as a blessing - there's nothing wrong about it. |

You are normal and follow your dream. Many enlisted men make a good career of military service. Do what makes you happy. |
