Is fun a necessity for job satisfaction?

Is job satisfaction promoted by just having a pleasant, joking atmosphere in the workplace? Or, is what really matters making the work itself more interesting and enjoyable to perform? What are your thoughts?

I do not think 'fun' is necessary for job satisfaction, but what I find satisfying in a job may not work for anyone else. I need to make a difference, and many times, it is far from a 'fun' time. Hope this helps. |
