I have the same dilemma. I can't find anyone who tells me anything positive about job corps. I'm doing to go anyways and find out for myself. I'm sick and tired of living at home and job corps is definitely a way out. I think you should just go and find out if its for you. I know that where I live the court sends delinquents to job corps as a way to refine them.

One of the potential problems with Job Corp are the people that you will be with. Since the place caters to young kids who are drop outs then most of the kids there will have problems and bring negative things into the program. If you are positive about the experience and can seperate yourself from the negative people then in theory you can make the best of it and transition into the regular working world. Most kids are sent by parents who have been failures and think that it will fix their kids. Which is completely wrong. Go. Get your GED and hopefully some job training and find a job. While working in that job stay clean and goto community college and get some education.
