Interviewing for a church position...?

I have an interview with my Church on Monday. I'm applying for a Children's Ministries position. I've done interviews before but never with a Church, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of the kind of questions a Church would ask. And it's going to be a 3 person interviewing team (probably the three Pastors) but three people asking questions of me at the same time is a bit intimidating.
I just want this to go well. Any suggestions, personal experience, or advice would be great.

Regardless of who the panel is that is interviewing you, their aim is to find the best possible candidate for their team. Your job as the interviewee is to answer their questions to give them the best possible insight into how you can contribute to them. The fact that you are being asked to interview means they think you could be a candidate. That's great. Have a few friends help you with a mock interview to prepare. Be professional, look them in the eye, answer with proper grammar and be prepared. Best of Luck. |
