Income and development of an audio engineer?

What is the income of an audio engineer (monthly and/or yearly)?

By "audio engineering" I'm referring to performing things such as the masterization of music tracks and such, not as creating audio hardware. Are there post-degrees (or however they called) for this career?

Also, in your own opinion, is it a good or a bad career ?

Try searching on http://www.bls.gov/oco/ - Occupational Outlook Handbook. Sponsored by the US govt. it has salary info, required education, related career fields, etc.. Just put audio engineer in the search field. I think you'll find the answers you're looking for here,

Good luck.

I'm assuming you mean someone who operates machines and equipment to record, synchronize, mix, or reproduce music, voices, or sound effects in sporting arenas, theater productions, recording studios, or movie and video productions. The average salary is $53,110 with the potential to make up to $68,000. Many recent entrants to the field have also received an associate degree or bachelors degree, although it is generally not required for entry-level positions.
