If you're moving to Los Angeles (which is what I'm assuming) you're gonna have to have a job lined up well before you get there. Its kind of one of those unwritten rules unless you're going there for school. California is a hot mess with the job market right now. Fast food is the best bet you have if you want a job right away. If you have some experience and luck waitressing and retail may be easy for you to get but almost everyone applies for those jobs especially waitressing because the tips are amazing.

I don't know what you're expecting out of moving there without a job waiting for you especially because rent and cost of living is extremely high. Its like a death wish if you don't have any place to stay or anyone to help you out once you get there. Most people I know that move to LA on their own come back quick. Only successful friends of mine were the ones with friends/family/roommates already in California or the ones that had everything set up way before they even got there.
