You won't find anyone to employ you at your age, or you're highly unlikely to. Unfortunately babysitting, paper round or buying and selling at car boots or ebay are your only options.

You don't need a bike for a paper round. This isn't the States, you don't leave papers on someone's porch. Here, you have to post them through doors.

13 is a bit young for anything really. I know here in the USA you can become a bagger at a grocery store at either 14 or 15. Maybe helping at a flea market or a produce stand. Good luck.

You could try earning money online or from a blog...... All you need is your mom's permission....

I was a day camp counselor at 13 and enjoyed it. You like kids so that may be an option.

Employment law can be a bit tangled but if you go to your local job centre an advisor would chat to you & tell you what you can do legally & what minimum wage you should expect so you are not exploited or go on their website at direct.gov. Hello love, Im 16 and live in the UK and Im sorry but u have just enetered the legal age to work,a nd that is work with only the LIGHT jobs. These are jobs that do not affect your health, education of lifestyle. The onyl jobs u could do is babysitting or paperrounds :( U could get ur mate to help u with the paperounds to make it more fun?

Its good that u are so eager to work, but u are very young to start working. When u get to 15 u can work in like a hairdressers, thats what I did last year and I got 30 pounds a day :D This year I have this thing called a National Insurance Number, it comes in the post when u turn 16 and I have just turned 16. It means that I can get the minimum wage for a 16 year old which is 3.53 :D

U are limited by ur age to take on work, the law wouldnt allow u to work ina a pet shop, maybe try baby sitting and go on from there?

Ask ur school about this thing called Connexions, its a centre which is made to help young people 13-19 with anything. Ask them to help u :) Good Luck love, work hard at school, im doing my GCSEs now and all the work is worth it :D xx
