To contribute strong management and teaching skills in a positive and effective manner to enhance growth and success of your school.

or

To obtain a position as an ESL Program Manager that will enable me to use my strong Leadership skills, teaching experience, and ability to work well with people.

MS, Definitely go with the first one. Employers want to see what you will do for them, not what you want from them. Be prepared to list examples..Describe a situation, the actions you took and the results obtained. I was just offered a position that I accepted in the last week. I wrote a blog about the things that led to my success in the job search, The link is below if interested.

Hi,

I also prefer the first one. The term "contribute" denotes a willingness to be a teamplayer and supportive of your employer and coworkers.

The second one states you have a strong "leadership skills" and that is your personal opinion and just comes across a bit arrogant to me.

The first entry says basically the same thing but the overall impression is much better and friendly and open. Good luck.

Hello MS,

"To contribute strong management and teaching skills in a positive and effective manner to enhance growth and success of your school." looks good. However, I would suggest you to also add the position that you are applying for. For example:

"Looking for a full time job opportunity as ESL Program Manager to contribute my strong management and teaching skills in a positive and effective manner enhancing the growth and success of your school."

The objective on your resume should be clear and specific to what you are actually looking for and what you are looking for from the employer. Too generic and open objectives do not interest employers simply because they are not focused on what they want. I would suggest you indicate what you want and at the same communicate to the employer that you have the skills they are looking for and you are interested in contributing positively and significantly to the organization.

Remember “ Most employers do not give more than 30 seconds to screen the resume and you need to make an impact right in the objective section at the top of your resume. Being too specific and too generic can hurt your chance of getting a call.

Hope this helps!
