And I am 19 years old, can I file for unemployment benefits? I also recently got laid off by a job(retail) i worked for for a month before I found a new one, could i recieve unemployment benefits for that job?

NO. You have to work much longer than a month to get unemployment. |

A month isn't long enough to qualify for unemployment, and if you're working now, even just 23 hours a week, you probably wouldn't be eligible anyway, or would only be eligible for a very small amount. |

You need to work at least 6 months in order to qualify for unemployment also you must get laid off in order to qualify. You can't just quit and assume to qualify for unemployment. |
