I need a job quickly, any thoughts?

I have five years retail management experience. I have a Mass Comm degree. The retail chain I currently work for is cutting hours. I live in LA, and am willing to commute. Will take any job, I need to feed my children and keep a roof over their heads. Any info that I might not have thought will be greatly appreciated.

So sorry to hear about your situation. What about changing careers and using your Communications degree to work in Marketing or Training at a large corporation? Sometimes financial institutions hire retail managers for their branches.

Also, you can look at working from home doing customer service or sales. Below are a couple of links to reputable work-at-home-companies. I've also attached a couple of links with customer service and sales skills that you would use in these jobs.

The pay is anywhere from minimum wage to great depending on the project youre working on. Customer service usually pays less than sales, and talking with consumers usually pays less than talking with businesses.

Good luck and I hope you find something soon.
