I need a good excuse to miss work today. Any ideas?

Okay, I feel terrible about even asking this, but we all have those days when work just doesn't seem like a place you wanna be. The problem is that I called off about a week and a half ago for a legitimate reason (I'm pregnant and my doctor put me on medicine that made me really sick). Today I just don't want to go because if I do, I won't see my husband all day...and it's been a rough morning. My work won't let me off the hook for that though, so I need something to tell them. I was thinking death in the family, but that probably makes me a bad person. Any ideas, or should I just suck it up and go in to work? Shift is in 4 hours...

Go ahead and call in....you don't need a job anyway.

there is no such thing as a "good excuse" all excuses are just that, EXCUSES,

there are "good reasons" to miss work, your reason is NOT one.of those........

Either suck it up or come up with some pregnancy excuse

Suck it up and go in. It is only 4 hours. Plus there are alot of unemployed people out there that would love to go to work.

Definitely go to work.

At the end of the day if you do not go to work you will feel bad and will be thinking of the consequences (colleagues will most probably talk behind your back and the boss won't be happy, especially cause you were off only week and a half ago). Also, look at it as an opportunity to socialize and meet people - must be better than staying at home alone.

Your husband will be home waiting for you after your shift, right?
