I lost my SIN card and I need it for a job..?

So I lost my SIN card and my first day at my first job is tomorrow. The manager told me to bring my SIN card. I don't even know the number. Am I going to get let go because I don't have it? I mean, I know I can apply for one and get it within 10 days, but will it be too late by then? Kinda panicking here..

If you don't have your SIN you need your birth certificate. But they will need your number sooner or later to pay the IRS. So bring your birth certificate now and tell them you will get SIN later. Good luck |
