I left law school after a semester, should I put it on my resume?
I went to law school, took exams and passed. But I decided to leave because I decided I didn't want to be a lawyer. Currently, I'm looking for a job, and my resume has a suspicious 6 month gap. Should I include my brief law school experience?

If you did well then you should definitely include it. All you say is that you went, passed and found that the lawyer path wasn't for you. It wil look good on a resume that you tried and did good. If you didn't do well (50's) then it wouldn't look good. It would look like you gave up cause it was too hard and giving up doesn't look good on a resume. If this is the case include it but say it was challenging because you are better suited for something else and hence droped out. |

It's important to have a good resume, it is worth taking the time to compose something that looks fantastic and does the job properly. The website in the box below has lots of information on resumes and guidance with extra careers. |

I personally wouldn't put it in my C.V but you could maybe think about mentioning it on your cover letter, or in the interview process. Best of luck. peace. |

I personally would not include something like that that you only did for a semester (if it had been years, then maybe). If an employer asks about the gap you can elaborate. That short a time might give several wrong impressions (can't stay with he program and resume padding comes to mind). Not finishing law school is nothing to hide, but 1 semester just seems like too short a time to include. |

By including one semester, you raise the question why you dropped out. A lot of people drop out of law school because they can't handle the stress or workload. Do you want an employer to assume you couldn't take it? |
