I agree with April - wait until at least Friday, possibly next Monday, and then give them a call. They may not be hiring right now, or they're just flooded with applications like a lot of places. If you're only applying for a summer position, though, I'd suggest looking in to other places - unless you can work during the school year as well, you might be out of luck. I know I am where I live.

If you need any other tips or advice while you're searching for a job, check out the blog in the box below - you might find it useful.

Wait for a week then call. who knows they may just not have gotten to it yet, or may not be hiring. i applied at like 10 places las summer (no joke) and still ended up jobless!

Elton. In this job market you need to call and also follow up in person. Ask to speak to the manager and say I put in my application for a certain position or I was wondering if you had any available positions. It's all about talking to the right person and being proactive. I had an interview a couple of weeks ago and didn't hear anything so I sent an email after a week and called to day. They told me to come in for a second/final interview on wednesday. The just want people who stay on top of things.
