I have two interviews tomorrow, what to do if I get offered the first job first?

I have two interviews at clothing stores tomorrow. The first one is at 11:30 am, the second is for 1 pm. I couldn't choose the order of the interviews, but i'd rather work for the second store. What do I say if I am offered a job at the first one? Do I inform them that i have a second interview and that i will let them know my answer later in the day? What would be the best way to handle this? Either way....i need a job.

Tell the first one you are very interested but would like to think about it and you will let them know by the end of the day. Don't tell them you have another interview. |

Accept it if you think its the best offer and cancel the second one. You may need to accept the first offer and later retract it if the second is better. Think carefully about doing this, you don't wan to burn bridges if you don't have to. Check out our website for more job search hints and ideas. |

Luckily, you may not hear from either job right away. they may be interviewing other people this week and may not get back to you til next week, which will give you time to think about both jobs. and you never know, that other job may have better benefits, hours or perks. i wouldn't mention having 2 interviews to either company. if one doesnt work out, you may need to fall back on the leasser- wanted job. |
