I have to call HR after my interview tomorrow, what do i say?!?

Hi,

I had a job interview last week with the HR person of the company, and got forward to a second interview :-) yay

anyways, when she called me today to arrange the next interview (which is tomorrow) she said, that after I had finished that interview (its with like 3 managers) to call her, and tell her how i think the interview went?

what would i say? i had to do this once before for another company, and had no idea what to say?

she won't be in the office, and she said to leave a voice message for her to listen to when shes next in.

so if anyone could advise me on what to say, i would be very thankful :D

First off you want to start the conversation by thanking them for the opportunity. Let them ask the questions but typically they want to hear how you felt the interview went and if you are as interested in taking the job as they are in offering it to you. Second interviews are a "finals" kind of thing, the last step to getting an offer and had you not been a serious candidtate for the job, you wouldn't have been scheduled for a second.

When asked to offer up your opinion give a positive summary of what was said and how the meeting left you feeling. Keep it brief and professional and let them do the rest of this "formality".

But you need to remember that as much as this process is a chance for a company to "check out" a potential candidate, its also a chance to see if you think this company is a good fit for you, your lifes ambitions and goals. If you have any questions or concerns, now is the time to ask them. Again, keep your attitude positive and if you do have some concerns, coach them in the form of simply needing some clarification.

But how exciting, a second interview! Best of luck to you and I sincerely hope that this company and job is everything you've been looking for and will afford you much success for many years to come!
