I have been putting job applications in one after another and I get no feedback. Help me?

I am 17 and I am looking for work. I have been putting applications in at many places and been doing well in the interviews telling them what they want to hear and what not. I am patient I wait a week or so and I don't hear from anywhere! Should I contact them or wtf should I do? I don't know.

Call them tell them that you put a application in a few weeks ago and you were wondering if they took the time to look it over. when you want a job show the person in charge that you can take charge and make a phone call...even bother them once every week should do the trick

Its always a good idea to make at least one follow up phone call. just keep applying you may not be able to get the best job out there but eventually if you are persistent you will find something. i think i was 17 when i started my first job. i was sacking groceries for $7 an hour. after about 4 months my managers let me move to nights and join the stocking crew making $9 hr. find out what you have to offer them that nobody else has and sell yourself. good luck.

There's nothing wrong making follow ups. Professionals even send this follow up letter just to remind the HR personnel that they submitted an application with them. You can do the same. And, patience really counts, don't get tired of sending applications - soon you will get a job.

Depending on where you are geographically, employers may simply have many applicants for each job.

I recommend that you follow up after each interview with an email thanking the interviewer, offering any information you thought of after the interview, if that's appropriate, and expressing again your interest in the job (as in, "After hearing more about the job during our interview, I am even more convinced that I would be a good fit."). For the interviews themselves, it sounds like you've been doing a good job at it, but you might want to make sure you are appropriately dressed for the position, shake hands and make eye contact, and have done some research into the company so that you have an intelligent question or two to ask if they inquire whether you have questions. Good luck.
