Hi. I agree with Amanda. The functional resume will work best with your particular situation. Have you had any work experience, or has it just been a while. If you have helped out in your community, you can also put things like that down as well. As far as tips and tricks for your resume, I found a website that just gives you tips on how to build it, and it also talks in details about the functional resume opposed to the other types as well. It gives you specifics on topics, what or how your cover letter should be written, and things like that. Hope that helps and good luck to you!! |

What you need is a resume that works more towards what you can do, more than your actual work history. This is called a functional resume. If you own Microsoft Word on your computer, they have tons of templates for this exact resume, all you need to do is type in Functional Resume in the search box and it will return many resumes, from there just pick one to your liking and the template will tell you where to go from there.
