I have a very important meeting tomorrow in order to save my job?

I am in the public sector.

my boss is accusing me to have "insulted" a customer but it's all false and he has no proof. But my boss is very friend with the very big boss (the boss of my boss).

Tomorrow i am going to meet the boss of my boss.

Don't know what to say: i can not "charge" my boss, can not talk about press (will feel like threathening), can not immediately talk about law (the same: will be feel like threatening)....

Thanks in advance (i have 2 kids)

If you did nothing wrong, then you tell them the truth, using the facts, while staying professional. It's not about blame, pointing fingers or "charging" someone.

When you meet, listen carefully and if needed, take notes about what you hear. If what you hear is not what you believe to be the truth, consider using phrases like: "I believe it happened differently" or, "It's unfortunate that we are talking about this. Exactly what happened was..." or "It seems that all of the facts are not being brought forth. The situation was..." or "I too would be concerned if I heard something like this. I'm happy to clear up any misunderstandings (or solve this), and move forward".

Say exactly what happen carefully using words if you know you have not done anything wrong than be confident but also assertive where you should defend yourself, stand up for yourself with confidence and politeness
