I have a choice in between 2 jobs what should I take?
Hard choice to make!!! i just started my job a couple of months ago and it's great. But the only down fall is that is only part time and will only stay part time! There is another company offering me a job doing the same thing i do know just full time with insurance. But I dont want my company to feel like i used them.. what should I do?

It sounds like you're loyal to the company you're working for, which is great. However, you have no moral or ethical obligation to stay on for life. It's part time. If the people you work for are decent people, and I assume they are or you wouldn't be torn, they will be happy for you that you found something more rewarding. |

Your employer has to understand that you NEED insurance. You aren't changing jobs for a closer commute or a nice parking spot, you are changing jobs so that if you get sick you will be covered. Put it to them like that, and ask them to reconsider hiring you full time and giving you benefits. If they can't, or won't, walk away with a clean conscience (after two weeks notice of course). |

If you are sure this new job is a better offer and you are given a guaranteed position, then give your current job 2 week's notice. That is the standard manner in which you leave a job. You're working to make money. You have a relationship with your employer based on your performance and your pay. Believe me, if they really wanted to replace you, there are so many ways they could do it, and they wouldn't hesitate to use one of them. Chances are, one day you will leave this job, or they will get rid of you. You might as well go while you have the upper hand. |
