I feel I am being treated unfairly at work and don't know what to do? Any advice would be appreciated!?
I worked as part of a team of three but earlier this year, one of my colleagues left. My other colleague replaced her and naturally I fell into doing her job. However, my company also expect me to do my job as well even though both jobs are full time! They expect me to do 2.5 half days on each job and it is just not possible, I've tried to do it but failed. Not only do they expect me to do my job as well as the other job, but they have also added extra responsibilities to my Original job which deviate massively from the job I applied for - it has in fact tripled my Original work load! I don't understand how they can expect me to do this? I have really tried to argue my case and although my manager is on my side, the regional manager only sees things from a financial perspective and says there isn't money in the budget to pay for a third member of staff. Again, this is very unfair as in both of the other areas my company operates, they do employs three members of staff! I don't really like to kick up a fuss at work and it's not in my nature to argue with my managers but I just feel this is really unfair and it isn't do-able. i don't know whether it makes any difference but I am also pregnant and don't feel I need the extra stress and pressure they are trying to put on me!

You should probably see a lawyer, because for one thing stress is not good for pregnancies and well lawyers love to eat companies alive, so a possible settlement might be in the future, and if anything you should think about your unborn baby first and maybe threaten to quit unless you get help with your work load or get it cut in half. |

Does your company have a union as if they do go and see them and get them on your side as the managers will have to listen to them otherwise you are going to fall into ill health |
