I know its a scam but its weird because I NEVER gave my email to ANYONE but legit jobs like McDonalds, White Castle's and etc.... It's my private email I'm not sure why I got this email....

I work for a McDonalds and I got this exact email. I'm pretty sure someone must have hacked into McDonalds email registry. Don't trust it, this is just a gimmick. |

Scam. And either they hacked for your email address or you hit a phishing site that you thought was a legit site. My guess is the phishing site. |

I've seen the very same thing using an engineering firm. Call corporate (Mc Donald's) and inform them about this odd e-mail, they may want you to forward it to them for litigation against the scammers. You may consider letting local law enforcement know about the scam, too. Most importantly, do not reply directly to that e-mail. Big companies like Mc Donald's or Bechtel do not use hotmail accounts to do their business. |
