I Am So Tired of Struggling in Life and My Career! Please Help!?

I get so frustrated sometimes with life.

My career is going nowhere. I write for an online company and don't make a lot of money. I also run several websites, but I have a hard time getting traffic to them, and when I try to submit to Yahoo directory or Dmoz, my sites never get accepted.

I feel rejected almost daily in my career, and it gets so darn annoying. I have been trying desparately to succeed for the past 10 years, but I feel like I am not making any progress.

It doesn't help that I have a rare medical condition which causes me to break out into hives at the drop of a hat.

Please help!

You seem very frustrated. Are your goals realistic? What do you mean by struggling?

If you have been working for 10 years and have not made progress, you are probably doing something that you do not like or are not good at. People can be reasonably successful doing all sorts of things, but they have to love what they are doing or have some special skill at it.

I would say number one, to set a realistic goal for "success" for one year. Then do that. Choose your goal carefully. If you really only care about money, then just pay attention to money. Do whatever it takes to make money. Your goal might be to find FIVE customers. Get those five and fight like hell to keep them. Number two, set higher goals and work for them.

I can tell you from experience that things are really hard out there. Do something that you would like to do for free, and you will always be happy. You will be good at it too.

Good luck.
