I'm sixteen and work in a fast food restaurant. I wish to call in today as I'm not feeling well, but fear that I've called in too many times as I've only been working there five months.

I have had legitimate excuses each time, but I have an uncanny fear of all of my managers.

This simple phone call is something I'm terrified of.

Have I called in too many times already?

If you're sick, you're sick.

But it's sounds like you're not really sick, you're looking for an "excuse" to not work.

You need to figure out what you're terrified of. If you want the job, then give it everything you have, including going to work at times when you don't feel like it. If you don't like the job, find another.
