I'm having a hard time choosing a career....?
I'm in an Associates of Arts degree at a community college (I'm in my second semester right now) and I plan on transferring to a university in a couple of years when I'm done. And I know I still have a while to choose my career choice, etc. But if your like me I don't like to wait, I like to know before hand so I can be prepared and see what classes I will be taking, etc.
Also my mom said I can be an undeclared major or something like that but I don't want to do that either.
Anyways here are some things about me:
The jobs I've ever had was only in Librarys
I love History
I love to read
I REALLY REALLY enjoy Middle Eastern history
I'm a good public speaker
I'm outgoing
I prefer to work with an older group of people than younger (age wise)
I'm conservative
Sometimes politics interest me, other times I can't stand it.
I hate math
I was home schooled (but not because of religion it was because my little brother had a disability and people made fun of him in school so my mom pulled me out as well)
I am a christian
Psychology class seems amazing and I can't wait to take it this fall.
I'm a good listener.
I love Video Games
I also want a job that pays good enough that I can provide for my future family.
I've thought about being a Historian in Egypt but IDK....
I've also thought about maybe just working in a museum but then again IDK.
Any thoughts?

Well you are considerate and thoughtful, and definitely more an intellectual. A few things come to mind but I'd wait until after studying Psychology and see how you feel about that. As far as museum jobs go they are getting few and far between because of the economy and cutbacks which are bound to carry over for the next 2 to 5 years. |

Become a teacher of children and you will receive the greatest satisfaction by teaching the subject you chose to teach which appears to be world history as the main subject and ancient history as the second subject. Teach and you will learn more than you can possibly learn by reading on your own as from the mouths of children come the truth. The children you teach will become your friends for life and they will always recall you as being the one teacher who inspired them to learn all that is possible to learn about life past and present. This is the legacy a teacher leaves to children they teach and it is a legacy of honor and respect that helps provide the foundation for children to grow up and live life to the fullest extent possible. You will be listened to by others and you will open your mind by listening to others as this is communication at its finest. To communicate is to learn, to cut one-self off from communication is to close the world and become a slave to mediocrity. Yes, you are a friend and you will always be a friend for the world is my friend and you are part of the world of my existence. |
