How to take decision for my current situation?

Guys,
I am an Indian; working in Singapore, recently married an Indian girl. I am having 4+yrs of experience in IT. I got a one year contract job in a MNC in Singapore. I came here to start work a month back from India. I am in EP. I am planning to take my wife this June month end. I have taken a 2+1 house for rental for SGD 1600. Every thing was fine for me till last week.
Now the problem is,
I have been told by one of my colleague that, my manager is looking for replacement resource for me. My current project supposes to get over by June end. So my worry is if I am sacked by this June end, I should move on to India back, because I am in EP or I have to find a job in 10 days of time. As per contact, company does not need to give any notice/salary to send me out.
I would like to continue to stay and work here in Singapore with my wife. I am really worried for past one week. I am not able to come to any conclusion. My wife does not know about this.
My questions are,
How far I can believe the information I got from my colleague.
How can I authorize the information, any thing if I can talk with my manager directly/indirectly will help me in this situation.
Will I get a job in a month if I start looking for job from today?
I dont have any controversies with my manager or with any of project team member. The only thing I can say is, I will not interact much with my project architect. Because I didnt get any proper solution/results from him, as I asked 4-5 project related decisions. My manager and architect are close and working together for post 3 years. My manager told me twice that, please interact with architect for any technical assistant.
Guys, please help me to take a decision.
