How to give Customer Service at a Luxury Retail Store?

I just got a job at a high end swimwear designer store in nyc and have never worked with such "luxurious" people.
I am very calm,mature and all for the job, but don't really know how to deal with luxury customers? I don't know how to greet people in a luxury boutique? Is there any other way to greet them or help them than in other "regular" stores?
Does anyone have any tips on how I can deal with them professionally?

First, congrats on getting the job! I've worked in Malibu before and have served many celebrity customers. Most "luxurious" people are laid back and really nice. There are a few, though, that think very highly of themselves, and wish to be treated as superior. You will just have to treat them as nicely as you can without sarcasm even if they deserve it. Just remain polite and courteous to everyone, and you'll be fine. |
