How should you behave in a new job so people don't hate you for no reason?

I.e. should you just be very reserved and keep to yourself?

I tend to be a bit opinionated sometimes and make jokes (but Im really nice to people as well). Im starting to think in a new job you really should keep quiet and just keep to yourself and talk about the weather and no other topics so you dont attract people that hate you.

I just lost my last job because someone hated me and wanted me to leave . Advice ?

I experienced the same situation.

Here is what I have found out with 35 years of working. And life I may add.

No matter what you do or how to act towards people. Even if you go out of your way to please them.

There will always be one or more who do not like or hate you.

Just be yourself, with a courteous, sincere, and positive attitude.

What you are asking for is perfection, and it will never happen.
