I've been a cart pusher for a little over 4 months now. I've got to keep my vest on during the time that I'm outside collecting the carts for inside and clearing the lot.

The other tasks that I have to do during my day shifts are as follows:

1. fill water on the shelves and stack bases.

2. helping to unload frozen, and grocery trucks

3. propane exchanges for customers

4. carry-out for customers

5. cleaning up spills and other messes

6. and miscellaneous tasks such as killing weeds along the store, picking up trash in and around the parking lot.

7. moving displays around (ever-so-often)

Tasks that I have to do during my evening shifts are as follows:

1. Most tasks from above: 1 and 3 through 7

2. Take out the inside and outside trash.

3. Refill the ice cooler.

4. Bring batteries to the battery cage in back of the store that have been dropped off by customers.

5. Make sure the water on the shelves and stack bases are filled.

6. Make sure all carts have been rounded up to the cart corals before clocking out.

That's pretty much all the tasks that I do 5 days a week. I hope this helps.

Later.

Your vest remains on you throughout your shift. This helps as well when customers need assistance as well.
