That's outrageous! You're supposed to be paid $2/hour and sometimes they don't even pay you that!? To be honest, I don't think you ever should have agreed to work for so little, but I understand that's a difficult situation since the woman whose kids you're babysitting is family. That's really taking advantage though. Not only are you being WAY underpaid, but you're 16 and working 50+ hours/week. That's unacceptable. And I realize the father isn't always working, but that's no excuse not to pay you what you're owed. If they're paying you $60 for 50 hours of work, that's $1.20/hour to watch 3 kids. (This also makes me wonder how come if the father isn't working why he doesn't watch his kids, but that's besides the point.) When I was a young babysitter (like 12 years old), I made $7/hour and that was back in the 1990s.

If you're 16, try to get a job anywhere else for minimum wage. Whatever state you're in, any minimum wage job would pay you more than you're being paid now to work fewer hours. Look for another job immediately. They ought to be paying you at least $300/week for that many hours and that's a family discount if ever there was one. Ridiculous.

Yes you are being underpaid. You are old enough to work a regular job. I suggest filling out applications and just getting a real job.

Depends on your hours. An easy way to ask for a raise is to simply confront your employer. They usually understand, just make sure its not at a bad time.

What i think you should do is tell your mom and see if she can talk to her about it, and i think you should get paid at least $30 a day.

Just ask for it. It's hard, at first - but you spent your time - part of your precious time - part of your precious short life doing something you wouldn't normally do out of you own time.

They owe you for it! You need to eat too, especially if you are unable to grow your own food for free!

You rely on others for your survival - as most of us do. There is no way out. That is unless you join a communist/egalitarian society.

You should charge at least $13 an hour.

$20 dollars a day?! that is ridiculous. i charge $15/hr for 3 kids! but i also have alot of experience. when i was your age i charged about $5/hr for one kid. you should ask for 10.
