How do the careers of doctors compare between the U.K. and the U.S.?

I'm a medical student in the U.S., but considering moving to London after I've completed my training (most likely internal med. or psychiatry). I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to the career differences within the two countries (please, no health care politics). I'm looking for jobs available, hours, benefits, and wages (I'm not in medicine for the money, but it has to be considered), etc.

A medical vocation is always worth considering, from nurses and doctors right down to hospital cleaning personnel. The website in the box below has some fantastic guidance on entering this laudable industry. My brother got some fantastic guidance from there prior to securing a vocation as a medical admin assistant.

Huh i don't really think there's a great difference, although based on the economy here in the u.s. it gives us a lot of wonder. But again, a career in the med. field is always demanding as well as really competitive, maybe some comparasion will well you sort some things out. here's a resource link for career jobs in the u.s. : http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos074.htm but i don't know for the u.k. someone who actually lives there or is currently a doctor would help you get the answers you seek for over there...

By the way, i have been wondering the same thing as well, am actually a pre-med student, and i have been having the same questions since ever, i wanna live in france after i complete my training here, but again someone specialized on the other side would be more helpful...to both of us.

Plz, answer my question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;¦
