How do inquire about a job through email?

Before you start saying "you need to go into the store" or whatever I know this! But the job posting told applicants to email. So now that we're past that, what's a good way to introduce myself and let the people know I'm interested in the job? If you could provide like a sample, that would be wonderful.

What you need to do is to add your resume and tell them why you are so interested in the job in the e-mail body. You may introduce yourself shortly.

Example:

Hello, good morning, Mr X...

I am interested in the position [add the position]. It would be a pleasure to work for your company because I think that my skills in [skill1], [skill 2], [skill 3] will fit improving your [add a feature that obviously needs improving in the position, for example if you are asking for a retail job you may say sells].

Thank you for your time and my resume is attached to this mail in a word document.

[add your name]

[add your e-mail so they can reply you back]

[add your phone number]

Make sure your email isn't just something "I really want this job" Do a cover letter or resume. You can copy your cover letter into the email body box, but you should attach your resume. Even though email is a bit impersonal compared to in-person, you should still take the professional approach.

Good luck!
