How do i become a better employee at the age of 14?
Ok so im 14 and im working at a cancer center and this my first job and i have no other experience before this i feel like im not doing a good enough job, partly becuase ive been showing up tired and plus i really do not like my co workers and the staff members are always watching the young kids and i really hate that, everytime i do something i feel like im doing it wrong. Then, my boss who is very very nice and kind is coming to my group and telling us what the staff really thinks of us, just yesterday this woman who works in the lobby screamed at me for making coffe and she yelled at my firend for being in the gift shop even though she was on break and she was buying something..But honeslty i dont know what to think becuz im getting all kinds of critiques from everyone the staff, group members, my mentor, my boss..My mentor says im doing great however my boss comes to me and tells me all the things im doing wrong....Im always polite and im always smiling but personally i think im doing a half *** job here and i dont know how to improve..help would be nice.
PS.sorry for all the miss spellings im just soo tired...

This is your first job so you're bound to think you're doing something wrong. To avoid this, when you have finished work shift look at the errors the staff members and co-workers have critisised you on and figure out how to do a better job next time. It is also in the job description to watch over the younger kids incase you do make a little accident so it can be resolved quicky. Sometimes in life you do come across people you don't like but the best thing is to do your job and not worry what other people are doing. It may help if you go to bed earlier and get up earlier, this means you can be wide awake for when you go to work if its the morning shift. However, if its the evening shift, go to bed earlier and maybe take half n hour to have a nap, this means when you go to work you will feel more refreshed and you may not feel so bad after someone has told you you have done something wrong, also maybe ask them how you do it right ans how u could improve |
