How do I get a job with no job experience?

When I have no job experience what so ever? The only type of experience I do have is freelancing I'm a Music Journalist and I contribute to a handful of publications and photograph bands but thats about it.

I was enrolled in this work experience program in high school and I was able to work at Hot Topic but only worked there for like 3-days because I couldn't handle the work lifestyle and was dealing with a ton of stress at the time just had too much on my plate.

So what should I do? Should I create a fake resume and go apply everywhere? My mom says I should go apply at McDonald's, Jack in the Box, etc. But all jobs require you to have experience!

Trust me. Entry-level fast food jobs do not require experience. If you are hired, the company already has a system in place to teach you everything you need to know.

(No insult, BUT) Going into jobs like these, the company teaches to the lowest common denominator. They assume you know absolutely nothing relevant to your job.

Basic Crew Member jobs are meant to be simple enough so that almost anyone can catch on quickly. They do not require any high degree of skill or prior knowledge. Follow the steps the company lays out and you will get the same results every time.

As time passes and you learn more skills/stations, you may be eligible for a pay raise or eventual promotion.

As the other person said, everyone has to start somewhere.

Ok. your mom is wrong (sorry mom). You don't need job experience for every job, I mean you have to start somewhere right? Try fast food or retail stores stuff like that. entry level things. Don't make a fake resume! They will check up on it or ask you questions about it and you will look like a fool when they figure out you lied. (And they will find out, I know that.)
